IN Network Ghana has presented a cheque of Six Thousand US Dollars ($6000) to the National Cardiothoracic Center on behalf of Ama Kyerewa Arthur, a four year old girl who suffers from a hole in heart condition, known in medical terms as ventricular Septal defect. She also has one of her heart valves severely incompetent. Ama requires an open heart surgery to enable her heart function properly. The amount, which represents fifty percent of the total cost of the surgery , will cater for the cost of further investigations, anaesthesia, surgery, intensive care and boarding for a maximum period of three weeks.( the Ghana Heart Foundation has paid for the rest of the cost of surgery).The amount was donated by IN Network USA. 

Ama's heart condition was discovered only three months after birth and she has since been on medication. This has made her unable to do any form of activity for a long period; she can't walk, sit or even play for a long time as she easily gets tired and pants for breathe with any little activity she does. She is also unable to eat and sleep properly at night because she becomes so restless after lying for a while.
